Can you tell that i can forward CTC j2534 to internet for remote jobs ?

you can if you have public IP on your router
you can use VPN or port forwarding

0 - Find CANtieCAR on port with USB connection
1 – Switch Wireless to WiFi on the System tab
2 – Configure WiFi on the WiFi tab
3 – Power the adapter only via the OBDII connector
4 – Connect to the CANtieCAR WiFi access point, if you have not registered the WiFi Station connection of CANtieCAR to your router, etc.
5 – Find CANtieCAR on the Network tab or add it manually, save the changes – this network port will be available on the Settings tab
6 – Find CANtieCAR on the network port in the Settings tab
7 – The Passthru driver will also search for CANtieCAR on the network... (actually the search is performed on all the last 10 ports where the configurator found CANtieCAR)

Thank you for your answer.
But if it possible to use passthru and emulation kl15 in the same time?
At this moment i use cantie adapter as a source of "ignition" and icom as a diagnostic interface for working with bmw ecu ( headlights modules) on the table.
I suppose that it is possible to perform both the tasks using only cartie adapter.
What do you think about it?
Thank you

Hello,

Install BMW Passthru driver. MUST be v 2.1.0.0 - other ones does not work so well (or at all).
There are plenty of guides on the internet on this topic - just search "ISTA passthru driver".
Then, must choose Ediabas option in ISTA connection settings.

ISTA-P (cracked, with a launcher) will not work, only ISTA-D.

BMW / tieCar adapter instead of ICOM
Last post by andrii - May 30, 2024, 07:03:55
Hello, everyone.
I`m sorry for maybe stupid question - is there a way to use tieCar adapter with ISTA instead of OEM ICOM?
If yes - could you, please, advice which settings needed?
As i know, the ICOM uses an IP address.
Thank you.

It was easy
when ctc was conected to acces point, just must search it in network tab in configurator and then it works
